Igor Grosu: "Very soon we will announce the PAS candidate for Chisinau City Hall"
In the near future, the Action and Solidarity Party will announce its candidate for the post of Chisinau mayor. This is according to PAS leader Igor Grosu, who refused to comment on rumours that MP Lilian Carp would be the PAS candidate for the municipal leadership, reports IPN.
"Very soon we will announce the PAS candidate for Chisinau mayor. There are internal procedures, we have to consult everything through local organizations, it is a process we have to go through. I neither confirm nor deny Lilian Carp's candidacy. Let's get there and we'll see", said Igor Grosu during the "Points of Reflection" show on Vocea Basarabiei.
The Speaker of Parliament gives assurances that this year's general local elections will not be postponed, but will take place according to the Electoral Code, either on the first Sunday of November or on the last Sunday of October.
