Maia Sandu, after the coronation of Charles III: "Moldova sends warm wishes for a prosperous reign, full of happiness and health"
The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, came with a congratulatory message to King Charles III after his coronation. The head of state attended the coronation ceremony of His Majesty King Charles III together with about 100 heads of state, including sitting monarchs.
The Head of State extended warm congratulations from the citizens of our country to the Royal Family and the British people on the beginning of a new era for the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
"Congratulations to King Charles III and Queen Camilla! Moldova sends warm wishes for a prosperous, happy and healthy reign. I am honoured to attend the Coronation at Westminster Abbey and look forward to strengthening our relations with Great Britain," the President wrote on her Twitter account.
King Charles III received St Edward's Crown at Westminster Abbey on Saturday during the coronation ceremony, with those present saying "God Save The King". Queen Consort Camilla was also crowned in a simpler ceremony - although she was not asked to take the oath. She is crowned with the Queen Mary Crown.
The couple were crowned in a ceremony full of music and symbolism inside Westminster Abbey. King Charles and the Queen waved from the balcony of Buckingham Palace to the crowds gathered outside the castle.
Around 2,200 people, including the royal family, celebrities, religious leaders and heads of state, attended the event.
