The Foreign Ministers of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) meet on Monday, December 12, in Brussels. The future of the Eastern Partnership, the challenges and consequences generated by the war in Ukraine - are the main topics that will be addressed today at the EaP ministerial meeting.
According to a statement issued by the Council of the EU, the ministerial meeting chaired by the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, will be attended by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs from the member states of the European Union and their counterparts from the countries of the Eastern Partnership (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine). The Minister of Foreign Affairs from Chisinau, Nicu Popescu, previously announced that he will have, as part of the program in Brussels, meetings with Olivér Várhelyi, European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement, Stefano Sannino, the Secretary General of the European External Action Service, Simon Mordue, Senior Adviser on Foreign Policy to the President of the European Council, Magdalena Grono, Cabinet Member of the President of the European Council, as well as other top officials from the European Union.
