European Commissioner for Transport Adina Vălean visits the Republic of Moldova

European Commissioner for Transport, Adina Vălean, visits the Republic of Moldova. The European official will hold meetings with Moldovan President Maia Sandu, Prime Minister Dorin Recean and Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Lilia Dabija. During the Commissioner's visit, the Agreement on Moldova's affiliation to the Interconnection Europe Facility will be signed in Chisinau.

"This new agreement will facilitate our country's access to European funds for major infrastructure projects to improve connectivity with Europe and within the country. Also at the ceremony, with the Romanian side, in the presence of the Prime Minister and the European Commissioner, the Agreements for the rehabilitation of the three bridges over the Prut River, namely the Sculeni-Sculeni bridge, the Leuseni-Albița bridge and the Cahul-Oancea bridge, will be signed," said Government Spokesperson Daniel Voda.

Prime Minister Dorin Recean and European Commissioner for Transport Adina Vălean will make press statements.

Adina Vălean will participate in a public conference at the Academy of Economic Studies and will focus on the importance of connecting Moldova to Europe, the European Commission announces.

EU Transport Commissioner Adina Vălean is on an official visit to Moldova and Romania from 9-11 May.
