Maia Sandu will talk with the Prime Minister of Canada, in Ottawa
The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, is making an official visit to Canada today, where she will meet Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and will have several bilateral meetings with top Canadian officials.
It is the first time that a president of the Republic of Moldova pays an official visit to this country. The Canadian Prime Minister wrote on his Twitter page that he is looking forward to meeting Maia Sandu in Ottawa, thanked her and the Moldovan people for their firmness and courage against Russian aggression, discussed support for Ukrainian refugees and made progress in relations between the two countries.
In Montreal, Maia Sandu will have a meeting with the Moldovan diaspora.
On May 12-13, Maia Sandu will be in the United States, in Chicago, where she will participate in the 9th edition of the Moldovan-American Convention.
