Vladimir Vitiuc could return to Parliament

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) resumed the administrative procedure for validating the deputy's mandate for the substitute candidate on the lists of the "Sor" Party, Vladimir Vitiuc. Moreover, the Commission will propose to the Constitutional Court the validation of the mandate.

Vladimir Vitiuc aims to take the place of Ilan Șor, who at the end of April was left without the seat of deputy, after he was sentenced to 15 years in prison with execution in a closed type penitentiary for fraud and money laundering in the "Banking fraud " case.

On April 27, the Parliament adopted a draft decision stating the termination of Ilan Şor's right to be a member of Parliament. Vladimir Vitiuc is a former deputy of the Communist Party, later he joined the Democratic Party, and now he is a deputy of the "Sor" Party.
