Armed attack with three dead in a cafe in Rome. A friend of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni – among the victims

Armed attack in a cafe in Rome. Three women, including a friend of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, were killed Sunday during a meeting of tenants of a block of flats in Rome, after a 57-year-old man opened fire on the crowd. Following the incident, the man was immobilized by the people gathered at the meeting.

At the same time, the law enforcement officers announce that four other people were injured as a result of the armed attack, and at least one of them suffered serious injuries. The police also added that a shooting range, where the suspect took the weapon used in the attack, has been closed and is being investigated by the authorities.

A few hours after the incident, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni posted a photo on Instagram of herself with Nicoletta Golisano, one of the victims, saying she was her friend.
