Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in London
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has arrived in London, where he is meeting with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. During the talks, Sunak will confirm the UK's additional supply of hundreds of anti-aircraft missiles, unmanned missile systems and hundreds of long-range attack drones.
Earlier, the Ukrainian president visited Paris, where he held talks with French President Emmanuel Macron, who promised to train and to equip several Ukrainian battalions and to provide them with dozens of armored vehicles and light tanks.
Also yesterday, Zelenski was in Berlin, where he thanked German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for a new package of military assistance granted to Ukraine, worth 2.7 billion euros. Zelenskiy's European tour comes as Ukrainian forces prepare for a counter-offensive to take back territories captured by Russia.
The goal of the leader in Kiev is to gain the support of allies. Zelenskiy's European tour began on Saturday with a visit to Rome, where he met the Italian president and prime minister, as well as the leader of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis.
