Secretaries General of Parliament of the Eastern Partnership Countries come to Chisinau: Purpose of the visit
The general secretaries of the Parliament of the Eastern Partnership countries will meet in Chisinau, between May 22-23, to participate in a round table. During the event, officials from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova will exchange best practices.
Discussions will focus on the subject of parliamentary control and the role of parliamentary administrations in this process.
"Participants at the Round Table will share their experience in the activity of ex-post evaluation of laws, as a tool of parliamentary control. The agenda of the event also includes discussions about the role of parliamentary control in the process of European integration and in the consolidation of regional cooperation between the countries of the Eastern Partnership", reads a press release of the Legislative.
At the opening of the meeting, the participants will be greeted by the Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, the Secretary General, Tamara Gheorghița, the Secretary General of the Parliament of Georgia and the President of the Network of Secretaries General of the Parliaments of the Eastern Partnership countries, Ketevan Kvinikadze, as well as the Country Director of GIZ Moldova , Claudia Hermes.
We note that the round table is organized with the support of the assistance project of the German Cooperation Agency (GIZ) "Modern and strong parliamentary administration in the countries of the Eastern Partnership, Stage II".
