Two high-voltage lines in the Republic of Moldova have been disconnected. The centre and south are without electricity
Due to a breakdown in the morning of today, the 400 kV Isaccea - Vulcanesti high voltage line has been disconnected due to maintenance work. The line will be reconnected by the end of the day, informs the Ministry of Energy.
Also today, for reasons not yet known, the 330 kV high voltage line Balti - CHE Dnestrovsk was disconnected. The line reconnected immediately, but due to lack of load in the system, it failed, leaving the centre and south of the country without electricity.
Moldelectrica specialists are currently working on the gradual reconnection of the system, a process that will take up to two hours, the ministry added.
