Program of the EPC Summit made public
The spokesperson of the Government, Daniel Vodă, made public the program of the EPC Summit which will take place on June 1 in the Republic of Moldova.
The event will start at 10:00 a.m. with the welcome of the delegates, which will last about two hours. President Maia Sandu will welcome the delegations, who will come to Bulboaca commune, one by one. Also, the foreign officials will make statements for the journalists who will be present at Bulboaca, every time they pass by the Door Steps.
The official opening ceremony of the event will take place at 12:00 and will last 30 minutes.
The leaders will take a family photo at 12:30 p.m., after which the round tables will be held. The topics that will be discussed in this prestigious international forum will be focused on security, energy and connectivity. After these, bilateral meetings will follow, which will take place in the afternoon.
The press conference is set at 17:00 and will be held by the president Maia Sandu together with the European leaders. Foreign Minister Nicu Popescu stated yesterday that 48 of the 50 officials confirmed their participation in the second EPC Summit. According to the diplomat, the delegations will come over the course of two days. The first half will come today, May 31st, and the second part will come on June 1st, in the first half of the day.
According to Nicu Popescu, 656 journalists were accredited to cover the event, including 177 from our country. Most journalists are from France – 66. There will also be mass media representatives from China, Argentina and other non-European countries.
We mention that this is the second Summit of the European Political Community. The first Summit took place last year, 2022, in Prague, Czech Republic, and brought together leaders from 44 European countries.
