Zelenski: At least 500 children killed during the war
The 2-year-old Lisa, who was killed during the night in Dnipro, is one of at least 500 children who were killed during the invasion, according to Volodymyr Zelenskiy, writes SkyNews, quoted by news.ro.
The president released the figures after her body was found, saying Russia had taken the lives of future "scholars, artists and sports champions".
"Russian weapons and hatred ... continue to take and destroy the lives of Ukrainian children every day," he said.
It was impossible to determine the exact number of child casualties due to the ongoing hostilities, the president said.
"All of Ukraine, all of our people, all of our children must be freed from Russian terror."
Five other children were injured in the attack in Dnipro.
