The Government approved the National Strategy "Health 2030"
The health system in the Republic of Moldova will be modernised to meet the needs of all citizens and provide equitable access to the highest quality services. To this end, the Government has approved the National Strategy "Health 2030".
The document provides for the comprehensive transformation of the health system and sets out the priority directions of intervention through a series of national programmes to be implemented by 2030.
Specifically, 19 overarching objectives are set out, grouped into seven components: public health, integrated and quality health services for everyone, affordable medicines and medical devices, governance and leadership, motivated and well-trained health workers, digitised health system, and financial sustainability.
The development of the Strategy is foreseen in the Government's Action Plan for 2023. Also, improving the health status of the population by building a modernized system is one of the objectives set in the National Development Strategy "European Moldova 2030".
The strategy is also focused on achieving the targets set by the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda and will contribute to the implementation of the commitments undertaken in the Association Programme between the European Union and the Republic of Moldova.
