Air traffic between the Republic of Moldova and the USA. The government approved the Air Transport Agreement signed with the American authorities

The Cabinet of Ministers approved, today, the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of the United States of America regarding air transport, which was signed in Chisinau.

Thus, for the first time, the Republic of Moldova and the United States have a bilateral Agreement, which creates the necessary conditions for the development of air traffic between the two countries.

According to the Ministry of Infrastructure, the implementation of the Agreement will contribute to the creation of a single market for air transport between the Republic of Moldova and the USA, which will facilitate investments and the provision of air services without restrictions, including on the internal markets of the signatory parties.

Premises are also being created for the launch of direct flights from Chisinau to destinations in the United States, but also for the diversification of destinations from Chisinau International Airport, states the relevant institution.
