"Preserving peace and stability in Moldova is our priority, in the difficult context we are in, with war on the border. And protecting the national informational space is an important step for preventing destabilization attempts, set up by people subject to international sanctions. We cannot admit that, in this period full of challenges, the security of the state and the peaceful life of the citizens are endangered by fugitives who want only one thing - to escape from justice", declared Maia Sandu. The Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița mentioned that the CSE's decision aims to secure the information space in the country, to eliminate manipulation and propaganda. In this context, the executive director of the Independent Press Association, Petru Macovei, is confident that following this decision, the legislation of the Republic of Moldova will be adapted so that the financing of TV and Radio stations is more transparent than it is now. With a reaction came one of the targeted television stations, which called on the international community to give a "proper assessment of the CSE's decision" to suspend the broadcast license. We remind you that the members of the Commission for Emergency Situations decided to suspend, for the duration of the state of emergency, the broadcast license for six television stations: Primul in Moldova, RTR Moldova, Accent TV, NTV Moldova, TV6 and Orhei TV.
