"Russia is and will continue to be the most direct and immediate threat to Euro-Atlantic security. That is why we must be able and ready to further improve our capabilities and continue to provide the necessary support to Ukraine and our most vulnerable partners, especially the Republic of Moldova. If they are stronger, our region is stronger, the Black Sea is safer, and thus the entire allied territory is safer. We must continue to engage in close cooperation with the Republic of Moldova, especially taking into account the huge efforts made by this country to support security and stability in the region, since the beginning of the war", declared Klaus Iohannis.

President Klaus Iohannis also stated that the Vilnius Summit, which will take place on July 11-12, must have clear and substantial results for Kyiv, by advancing political and practical support, including for concrete, measurable progress of Ukraine regarding NATO accession.
