The government will provide higher subsidies for agricultural development and compensate farmers for the cost of diesel used by farmers
Several projects in this regard were discussed today at the Executive meeting. The amount of subsidies was also increased by up to 15 per cent for young farmers, women farmers and for returning migrants or those running peasant farms.
"The authorities have decided to provide advance subsidies of up to four million lei for the development of agriculture and the rural environment. Over the next five years, the state will support at least three thousand beneficiaries annually, who will be allocated about 13 percent of the subsidy fund's resources. Agricultural producers will benefit from the diesel excise tax subsidy starting from 16 November 2022, amounting to 2,980 lei per tonne for micro, small and medium producers and 894 lei per tonne for large producers," said Daniel Voda, Government spokesman.
