The Republic of Moldova will benefit from financial assistance from the IBRD
The Republic of Moldova will benefit from budgetary financial assistance provided by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD). An agreement to this effect was ratified today by the Parliament. It is a loan of 92.1 million euros and a grant of 25 million dollars.
"The loan and the grant will be given in the form of budget support based on actions in the policy matrix. The maturity of the loan is 21 years, including the grace period of 3 years, the interest rate is valid, the commitment fee is 0.25% calculated from the outstanding amount, the one-off fee is 0.25% of the loan amount", the agreement states .
Both the grant and the loan are to be disbursed in one installment.
The financial assistance is intended for the stabilization and growth of the economy of the Republic of Moldova, as well as the implementation of some social and economic programs that can be found in the Government's reform agenda.
