The ministry also advises citizens to maintain contact with their Ukrainian embassy or consulate general.

The alert was issued in view of Russia's ongoing war of aggression against Ukraine and the dramatic increase in hostilities in the southern and eastern regions of the country.

In this context, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration reiterated that it does not recognise the illegal annexation by the Russian Federation of all Ukrainian regions, including the Crimean Peninsula.
