ANOFM proposes 11,700 jobs for about 51,000 unemployed in Moldova

The National Agency for Employment (ANOFM) announces that there are currently more than 11,700 vacancies in the Republic of Moldova. Most of them, almost 9,000, are offered for people with secondary vocational education and unskilled workers.

The data show that the light industry needs almost 2,500 employees as sewers, weavers and tailors. More than 1,100 vacancies are up for machine and plant operators or assemblers and more than 100 fewer for transport and warehousing. There is also a need for 951 skilled craft workers. Specifically electricians, welders and lathe operators.

More than 2,800 vacancies are available for unemployed people with higher and medium-level qualifications. The labour market is looking for over a thousand technicians and foremen, as well as 470 specialists such as engineers, site managers, travel agents and managers. There are also 412 vacancies in social work and 237 specialists needed in public institutions.

Agency data also show that most job vacancies, more than 4,500, are in the capital. More than 2,100 jobs are available in Balti municipality and Ungheni district. In addition, more than 630 jobs are offered in Cahul district and Gagauzia.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, there are almost 51 thousand unemployed in our country.
