A Moldovan dies in a plane crash in Sudan
The tragedy happened in the evening of July 23 at the Port Sudan airport. According to international media, at least nine people died, among the victims are four soldiers, and one child survived. The aircraft reportedly crashed due to a technical fault.
The Moldovan who died in the plane crash is Anatolie Ungureanu. He had over 35 years of experience in aviation.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority, the man worked as a technician and had one of the highest qualifications in on-board electronic equipment. In a post on Facebook, an acquaintance of the family mentioned that the man had taken time off for several months and went to work in Sudan.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs claims that his relatives have requested assistance for the repatriation of the lifeless body.
