Moldovan exports to Romania to reach new heights with upcoming exhibitions
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova has started registration for three exhibitions in Romania this fall. The exhibitions are "Republica Moldova Prezintă" in Baia Mare and Iași, and "INDAGRA FOOD" in Bucharest.
INDAGRA FOOD is a regional food and beverage exhibition that attracts over 600 companies from around the region, including Germany, Italy, Belgium, Bulgaria, and Poland. The three events are organised in partnership with Romanian government agencies and local governments.
"September 22-24 is a new opportunity for us to meet with producers from Moldova, and for Moldovan exporters to enter the Maramureș market. The event is part of a larger exhibition, Rivulus Dominarum, which is part of the chestnut festival. In the years we have organized the event, the number of visitors has exceeded 15,000," said Florentin-Nicolae Tuș, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Maramureș.
Sergiu Harea, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova, announced that "companies from Moldova can be presented in various fields of activity, such as the food and beverage industry and services, in order to continue to expand exports and Moldovan-Romanian cooperation."
"According to the results for 2022 and the first half of 2023, Romania is our main trading partner. In 2022, the volume of trade between Moldova and Romania exceeded 3.5 billion euros. We invite all interested parties to submit their applications to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry by the beginning of September. They will be registered on a first-come, first-served basis," Harea said.
