Moldova 1 Project "The Country is Us" features Natalia Bzovîi

In a new project dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Moldova, Moldova 1 is showcasing 15 people from various walks of life who share their stories and values.

One of the protagonists is Natalia Bzovîi, a student at the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Romania, where she is studying heritage and cultural property management. She has transformed her grandparents' house into a museum, where she has collected many old objects.

"Our peasant houses are full of mystery, stories, symbolism, and aesthetics. That's why we should highlight them and identify ourselves as a creative people. I firmly believe that we can revalue our national heritage from a different perspective. We see that our villages are becoming increasingly deserted and abandoned, so we could create museum villages, we could develop tourist areas," says Natalia.

The young woman plans to restore and transform more traditional Moldovan houses.

"The power and culture to develop are within us, we just need to have more faith in the people of this country," Natalia Bzovîi says.

The Republic of Moldova celebrates 32 years of independence on August 27.
