Moldova 1: "The Country is Us" - Veaceslav Bârdan on the importance of education for Moldova's future

Veaceslav Bârdan, a doctor of economic sciences at the Technical University of Moldova, is a strong advocate for education and integration as the keys to Moldova's future.

Bârdan has been working in higher education for 28 years, training young specialists in marketing and logistics. He is confident that education is essential for Moldova to overcome the challenges of the global economy.

"The challenges of the global and regional economy are also reflected in the national economy, and it is not easy to face them," Bârdan said. "But both students and teachers, through various programs, such as the European mobility project ERASMUS+, offer us the opportunity to exchange experiences with other European universities of the same profile from Portugal, France, Bulgaria, Lithuania, and Spain."

In addition to his teaching duties, Bârdan also teaches a course on European integration of the Moldovan economy. He published a textbook on the subject in 2014 and is currently working on a second edition.

"I am glad that I believed in the European path of our country, and now, for more than a year, the Republic of Moldova has the status of a candidate state for accession to the European Union," Bârdan said.

Moldova 1 is presenting the project "The Country is Us," dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Moldova. The project features 15 protagonists from various fields of activity who share their stories and the values they promote.
