Kiev orders new mandatory evacuations of children from frontline communities
Ukrainian authorities have ordered a mandatory evacuation of children from two districts in the Zaporozhye region (south) heavily shelled by the Russians, CNN reports.
Evacuation from the Vasilyevsky and Pologivskii districts is mandatory, Deputy Prime Minister Irina Verechchuk announced on national television.
Around 50 civilians are believed to still be living in the two districts.
A mandatory evacuation has taken place in the Kupiansk district of the Kharkov region, also heavily shelled in recent weeks.
In the Donetsk region, "89 children from 11 settlements are being evacuated today in an ongoing action," the deputy prime minister announced.
