Romania and Moldova presidents discuss cooperation at Three Seas Summit
The presidents of Romania and Moldova, Maia Sandu and Klaus Iohannis, met in Bucharest on Wednesday to discuss the excellent cooperation between the two countries, the Moldovan Presidency reports.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Three Seas Initiative Summit, which Romania is hosting.
Sandu thanked Iohannis for inviting Moldova to participate in the summit as an associate member. She said that participation in the initiative would open up new opportunities for Moldova, such as access to infrastructure projects and economic development.
The two presidents also discussed the security situation in the region, including the war in Ukraine.
