Several Ministers of Agriculture from the European Union will come to the Republic of Moldova to participate in the National Wine Day. This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry, Vladimir Bolea, during a show on N4. The official also stated that in recent years major efforts have been made to improve the quality of the wine produced in the Republic of Moldova.
"Several Ministers of Agriculture from the European Union will be invited. On September 6, we will hold an economic conference to which these ministers are invited, we will sign a memorandum of support for the Republic of Moldova between the ministries of agriculture, after which on October 7 we will open this celebration. In addition, we will go with them to Cricova, to a field, to see how the vines grow, because, unlike all the others, the way to grow grapes in the Republic of Moldova is not an economic process, but a way of life", declared Vladimir Bolea.
The National Wine Day will take place on the first weekend of October, on the 7th and 8th, and will traditionally take place in the Great National Assembly Square. The 22nd edition will bring together 90 winemakers, under the umbrella of the country brand " Moldova’s wine".
They will present their products that have brought them medals at international competitions. The National Wine Day is organized by the National Vine and Wine Office (ONVV), the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, with the support of the strategic partner USAID Moldova, through the Rural Competitiveness and Resilience Project.
