Secretary of State of North Carolina Elaine Marshall visits Chisinau
Elaine Marshall, Secretary of State of North Carolina, is visiting Chisinau, Moldova, for a week-long visit, the U.S. Embassy in Chisinau announced on Sunday.
According to the embassy, Marshall will meet with high-level officials, key partners, and representatives of beneficiaries of assistance provided by institutions and individuals from North Carolina.
Marshall's visit comes as the United States and Moldova continue to strengthen their partnership. In 1999, the two countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote cooperation in the areas of economy, culture, science, academic exchanges, defence, civil protection, and humanitarian assistance.
