Yellow wind warning issued for Moldova
The State Hydrometeorological Service of Moldova has issued a yellow warning for wind intensifications, valid on Sunday, from 12:00 noon to midnight, throughout the country.
During this period, on extended areas, intensifications of the north-west wind are expected in gusts of up to 15-20 m/s.
Risks: Temporary power outages and communication disruptions are possible; branches of trees can break and the fall of dry trees can be reported; partial uncovering of some buildings is possible.
Recommendations: Avoid passing near trees; avoid fallen electrical cables; avoid parking vehicles near trees that strong winds can knock down; use supports for fruit trees; avoid using open fire.
