Romania reconfirms its "unconditional" support for Ukraine. Volodymyr Zelensky is coming to Bucharest today
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenski, is making, today, his first official visit to Romania, to be received by the President Klaus Iohannis, by the Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu. Also, he will meet with the presidents of the two Chambers of the Parliament and will deliver a speech in the joint plenary session, reports Hotnews.ro.
Volodymyr Zelenski will be received, at 1:00 p.m., at the Cotroceni Palace, by President Klaus Iohannis, and the two will have face-to-face talks and official discussions. Afterwards, the two heads of state will make joint press statements.
The President of Ukraine will meet with the presidents of the two Chambers of the Legislative, Alfred Simonis and Nicolae Ciucă. According to some sources, the president of Ukraine could also lay a wreath at the Heroes' Monument in Charles Park.
From 17:40, Zelenski will be received, at the Victoria Palace, by Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.
Head of State Klaus Iohannis last spoke with Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Thursday at the European Political Community Summit held in Granada, Spain.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmîhal confirmed, in August, that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will visit Romania, on an unspecified date, and "soon" the Ukrainian leader will also meet with the Romanian Prime Minister.
