Zelensky: A transit corridor for grain from Ukraine will start operating in the Republic of Moldova
A transit corridor for grains from Ukraine will start operating soon in the Republic of Moldova, announced the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy, during his visit to Bucharest.
"Soon, a grain corridor from Ukraine through the Republic of Moldova will start operating. This is of major importance not only for our countries, but also for Europe and the whole world," Zelenskiy said.
The head of the Ukrainian state mentioned as a strategic direction of his country the trilateral cooperation Ukraine-Republic of Moldova-Romania, which will allow the creation of new possibilities for these states, especially in economic terms.
At the same time, Zelenski declared that during the visit to Bucharest, the first steps were agreed for the defense of the port infrastructure, through which grain is exported from Ukraine.
"In Romania, it is very well known how dangerous Russian terrorism is, how dangerous Shahed missiles and drones are, which constantly attack the Odesa region, villages and towns near Romania's borders. Romania is a country that guarantees food security for the whole world. The ports on the Danube are used, the ports in Romania are used, which ensure food needs for other countries. We must do our best so that Russia cannot turn the Danube or Black Sea area into a dead zone. We have agreed on the first steps that will allow us to defend these ports," Zelenskiy said.
