PAS ready to collaborate for Moldova’s European integration
The Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) is ready to collaborate with all political formations that support the objective of Moldova's European integration, stated the President of Parliament, Igor Grosu, during a broadcast on TVR Moldova.
The PAS leader emphasized that, with the upcoming parliamentary elections in view, political parties must demonstrate their commitment to the European path through concrete actions and policies, not just declarations.
“We are open to collaborating with all political parties that aim for, have as their goal, or share our objective of European integration. I would really like to see the contrary proof as well, because some parties, including those that signed the declaration last summer—essentially a Snagov Pact imitation in Moldova—only signed it and left it at that. What I expect, beyond mere declarations, are concrete actions, openly assumed policies, and sustained support.”
The President of Parliament argued that the success of the upcoming elections depends on the creation of a stable parliamentary majority and a pro-European government.
“Then we will have a chance at success, to secure a parliamentary majority after the elections, and to establish a stable government. This is understood by our adversaries as well, and even the Kremlin understands that the next step will be the final one, after which things will become more complicated, because you will have a pro-European presidency, government, and parliamentary majority, along with a modified Constitution.”
Moldova is preparing for the parliamentary elections in 2025. Recently, PAS MP Olesea Stamate announced on a TV show that the election could take place in the fall of next year, at the latest in September. It should be noted that the last parliamentary elections in our country were held on July 11, 2021, when PAS won the parliamentary majority.
