"Sansa" Party, removed from the electoral race. Recean: Russia cannot intervene with tanks, but with dirty money
The "Sansa" party was removed from the electoral race. The Commission for Emergency Situations decided to exclude the formation from the elections due to its ties with the Kremlin regime and Ilan Şor, who continues to do politics from Israel, while he is sentenced in the Republic of Moldova to 15 years in prison. Prime Minister Dorin Recean announced in a briefing at the Government headquarters that the decision is motivated by Russia's hybrid war against the Republic of Moldova.
"The Russian Federation cannot enter the Republic of Moldova today with tanks, as it entered Ukraine. Instead, they enter with organized crime fully financed with tens of millions of euros - dirty money to corrupt justice, to corrupt public officials, to finance cyber attacks, to undermine state institutions, to corrupt politicians, to destroy the electoral system, to misinform and to make an informational war here", Prime Minister Dorin Recean declared in a press conference at the Government.
According to the Prime Minister Dorin Recean, over one billion lei would have been introduced by Russia through dark schemes in the Republic of Moldova to finance subversive actions and political parties.
"We see a hybrid war with the whole arsenal. The State of the Republic of Moldova has the task and the obligation to put an end to these attempts of chaos and panic through banditry. We are talking about a much more serious challenge, a plan that wants to hijack the democratic process and to undermine democracy. The scheme works and is meant to work in several stages. It started last year, in the summer of last year, with a lot of cyber attacks, false alerts. The objective was to jam our systems, to plunge the country into darkness, and obviously to put a strain on society and to induce a sense of anxiety. We succeeded and stopped them", said Dorin Recean.
Therefore, in all the ballots, the WITHDRAWN stamp will be applied to the candidates nominated by the "Sansa" Party.
