The plane with Moldovan citizens evacuated from the Gaza Strip will land in Bucharest today
Today, in Bucharest, at 15:00, the plane will land with the 36 citizens evacuated from the Gaza Strip. This was announced by Prime Minister Dorin Recean, at the beginning of the Government meeting.
"I think they will be at home this night. I want to thank the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but also the other colleagues from the state institutions who worked in the last weeks to make this possible. I also want to thank Bucharest, and the international partners, who helped us in this very difficult effort. Egypt, Israel, the USA, Romania, Ukraine - all these friends helped us recover our citizens from the Gaza Strip", said Dorin Recean.
We remind you that the 36 Moldovans left the Gaza Strip on Tuesday and were to be boarded on a Tarom plane, together with 93 Romanian citizens, evacuated from the Gaza Strip.
The MFAIE previously informed that 50 Moldovan citizens from the Gaza Strip requested assistance, including evacuation, out of about 100-120 citizens registered in this area.
