Tiraspol regime continues to defy the constitutional authorities of the Republic of Moldova

A new illegal construction in the Security Zone shows that the Tiraspol regime continues to defy the constitutional authorities of the Republic of Moldova. A metal parapet with a height of almost one meter is installed by the separatist regime between the towns of Varnița and Tighina.

The Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Oleg Serebrian, claims that this construction restricts the movement of people, and Chisinau demanded its dismantling.

"It's a metal parapet which, according to the explanation of the people from Tiraspol, is meant to protect the road space from the pedestrian space. That's the explanation they gave. It's no excuse, because it's a construction in the security area, which restricts traffic anyway. It is not a protective measure and any construction of this kind in the security zone, so close to a sensitive area, had to be coordinated within the Joint Control Commission."
