Low-cost company Wizz Air returns to the aeronautical market in the Republic of Moldova
The low-cost company Wizz Air has announced that, starting in December, it will operate Chisinau-Rome, Chisinau-Milan and Chisinau-London flights. This was announced by Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
"The return of Wizz Air to Moldova is a result of our constant efforts to ensure new international connections for all our citizens and to boost economic development. The Republic of Moldova is a safe and attractive destination. Only in the last 2 months, new airlines started operating at Chisinau International Airport with new routes to Tel-Aviv, Athens and Baku. Also, the companies that are already active on the Moldovan aviation market have rescheduled their flights and are offering more and more advantageous prices for passengers. We are becoming more connected with European cities and we continue to provide new journeys necessary for our citizens", Prime Minister Dorin Recean concluded.
We remind you that this February, the Wizz Air company notified the Civil Aviation Authority that it is suspending all flights to/from Chisinau International Airport, starting on March 14, 2023. The authority was notified by email about the decision, citing reasons of safety and security of the airspace in the region.
