Moldovan-Norwegian cooperation, discussed by President Maia Sandu and the parliamentary delegation from Norway
President Maia Sandu discussed the importance of bilateral economic relations and the prospects for strengthening them through the ratification of the agreement with the European Free Trade Association, including by the Norwegian Parliament, with the members of the Committee for Foreign Affairs and Defense of the Norwegian Parliament, visiting Chisinau.
This agreement will give Moldovan producers access to new export markets and will open new opportunities for bilateral trade, reads a press release from the presidency.
We remind that in 2023, Norway allocated non-refundable financial assistance to our country in the amount of approximately 42 million euros through a program to support Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova.
The funds are channeled through the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the World Bank to finance energy efficiency projects and to help citizens cope with the challenges caused by the war in the neighboring country.
