Farmers from over 20 districts arrived in Chisinau with about 200 units of agricultural machinery. Sergiu Stefanco, from Căușeni district, says that last week's negotiations with representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry did not result in a positive response.
The representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry did not reply to comment on the farmers’ protest.
We remind you that, last week, several farmers talked with the Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry, Vladimir Bolea, about the problems in the sector. They requested that the Executive introduce a moratorium on the payment of debts to all creditors, with the cancellation of penalties from the banks for the next 2 months.
Vladimir Bolea emphasized that the ministry will create a working group that will analyze the list of farmers at risk of bankruptcy and who require compensation from the state.
