LIVE // Launch of the "Rabla for household appliances" Program

The authorities provide details regarding the implementation in the Republic of Moldova of the "Rabla for household appliances" Program, financed by the European Union. Beneficiaries of the program are more than 50,000 vulnerable families who will receive vouchers to be able to exchange used electrical appliances for new, energy-efficient equipment.

The first stage of the program started on November 15. All 50,000 families with very low incomes can receive vouchers to replace incandescent bulbs with LED ones.

The program "Rabla for household appliances" is financed by the European Union, through the project "Addressing the impact of the energy crisis in the Republic of Moldova", implemented by UNDP. The total budget is estimated at 5.8 million dollars.
