The Republic of Moldova is to implement the MD-Alert system, to inform citizens in emergency situations

In the Republic of Moldova, the MD-Alert system, similar to the one in Romania, RO-Alert, is to be introduced, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Adrian Efros, said on Radio Moldova's "La 360 de grade" show.

"Similar to the system that now exists in Romania, we are now in the feasibility stage because we have some special features and we must have this study. We already have partners willing to offer us support for this system to be implemented in the Republic of Moldova. Thus, we will be closer to the citizens and the citizens will be more informed and we will be able to have a connection between the state institutions with the maintenance authority and the civil protection", said Adrian Efros.

Adrian Efros also said that the institution he leads also undertakes other actions in order to make the activity of the 112 Service more efficient, which came under the Ministry.

Also, two officers from the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations will be delegated to the Crisis Response Center of the European Union. They will have access to the civil protection tools and mechanisms that the European Union uses. We remind you that eight days ago, two people from Căușeni district were found breathless in a car under the snow, more than 17 hours after it was announced that they were stuck.

According to the information of the 112 Service, the victims and their relatives called the number emergency eight times.
