Mayors of the Republic of Moldova participate today at the Forum of Mayors
The Mayors' Forum takes place today, December 9, at the Palace of the Republic in Chisinau. All 895 mayors from all districts were invited to the event held under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu.
The Forum program includes two discussion sessions with representatives of the Executive, the Parliament and experts from the associative environment. During them, the participants will talk about the development of localities in the process of our country's accession to the EU, funds for regional development and opportunities for communities.
Government representatives published the agenda of the event. It is mentioned that starting at 09:00 and until 09:30 the registration of the participants will take place.
President Maia Sandu will give a speech starting at 10:00. Later, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Prime Minister Dorin Recean, President of the Congress of Local Authorities from Moldova Tatiana Badan and President of the Public Administration and Regional Development Commission of the Parliament Larisa Voloh will give speeches.
Ministers Andrei Spînu, Vladimir Bolea, Petru Rotaru, Iordanca-Rodica Rordanov and Victor Parlicov will also give speeches at the forum. Starting at 13:00, the Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu will address the mayors.
The forum will end around 14:00. The event titled "The future of local public administration", is organized by the Government in collaboration with the members of the Congress of Local Authorities from Moldova.
