Superior Council of the Magistracy set the date of the next General Assembly of Judges

The Superior Council of the Magistracy (CSM) convened the general meeting of judges for March 1, 2024. During the meeting, a new member of the CSM from the Supreme Court of Justice is to be elected.

The candidate for this post is judge Aliona Miron, who recently successfully passed the ethical and financial integrity test.

The president of the CSM, Sergiu Caraman, mentioned that a candidate from the Courts of Appeal could also be submitted by March. Also, the members of the College for the selection and career of judges will be elected at the meeting.

Caraman said that if the vetting committee does not complete the evaluation of the candidates for the specialized college by March 1, they could be appointed in an extraordinary assembly.
