The Border Police informs that at this time there is an intense traffic of passengers and means of transport at two border crossing with Romania Leușeni-Albita and Sculeni. Border authorities are urging travelers to choose other crossing points in advance.

"We urge travelers to diversify their choice of Moldovan-Romanian border crossing points. Opt in advance for PTF Costești, PTF Cahul or PTF Leova, which opens from 08:00", the Border Police press release reads.

Heavy traffic is on the direction of exit from the Republic of Moldova and entry into Romania.

Border authorities take measures to streamline cross-border traffic.

The number of front-line employees and the control technique was supplemented, as well as additional control tracks with the application of "reverse" were opened.

Throughout the day, over 200,000 saplings, including red oak, maple, ash, and acacia, were planted on over 40 hectares. This initiative is part of the national "Forest Generation" campaign, launched in 2023, which aims to rehabilitate degraded forest areas and create new forests by 2032. The goal is to increase the afforestation rate from the current 12% to 15%.
