Provisional crisis management center in Palanca has ended its activity
The provisional crisis management center in the town of Palanca stopped its activity. The decision was taken after the expiration of the state of emergency in the Republic of Moldova. IGSU employees withdraw their tents, technical and electrical equipment that were functional for the accommodation of refugees for two years.
About 1000 refugees from Ukraine passed through this center during the two years it was in operation. The center housed 6,000 people. Refugees received help: they benefited from accommodation, food, medical assistance and were assisted in the process of accommodation in the Republic of Moldova.
The functionality and security of the camp was ensured by the General Inspectorate for Migration, the General Inspectorate of Carabinieri and the General Inspectorate for Emergencies.
