A Ukrainian soldier with an unexploded grenade in his body was successfully operated on
A Ukrainian soldier with an unexploded grenade in his body was successfully operated on by military doctors, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced on Monday. The intervention was performed in the presence of two geneticists.
“Our military medics performed surgery to remove an unexploded VOG grenade from a soldier's body. The operation was carried out in the presence of two genists who oversaw the safety of the medical staff and the patient," the leadership of the Ukrainian army stated in its post.
The intervention was carried out by the most experienced surgeons of the Armed Forces, without electrocoagulation, as the grenade could explode at any moment, stated the General Staff.
