On the National Day of Culture, the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, awarded honorary titles to personalities
During a celebration, 31 artists, directors, actors and composers received honorary titles from the head of state, on the occasion of the National Day of Culture.
Thus, five titles of "People's Artist", 14 "Master of Art" and 12 "Artist Emeritus" were awarded.
The distinctions were awarded for "prodigious activity in the field of culture, substantial contribution to the promotion of the nation's spiritual values, outstanding successes in creative activity, high professional mastery", reads a press release issued by the Presidency.
At the same time, as a sign of appreciation for the special merits in "safeguarding the national cultural heritage, for contribution to the valorization and promotion of authentic musical folklore", the folk Ensemble "Plaiesii" was awarded the honorary title "Emeritus Artistic Band".
