Farmers, groups can apply for Moldova Ag subsidies
Moldovan farmers and agricultural organisations can now apply for subsidies through the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA)'s program for the current year.
The program offers financial support for various activities, including:
- Accessing loans for investment and working capital
- Promoting agricultural products
- Implementing irrigation systems
- Developing organic agriculture
- Upholding good agricultural practices
- Uprooting old plantations
- Receiving consulting and training services
- Forming producer groups
- Subsidising agricultural insurance
"Stimulating activities, implementing good practices, and associating in groups are all crucial for a thriving agricultural sector," said an AIPA representative.
The annual subsidy limit is 1.5 million lei per beneficiary, except for water user associations for irrigation, which have a 3 million lei limit. Eligible costs incurred since October 1st of the previous year and during the current application year are covered.
Applications are open from February 1st to September 30th and can be submitted to territorial AIPA offices. All necessary documents are available on the AIPA website.
