Chisinau Airport Head Steps Down Over Red Tape
Chisinau International Airport Director Constantin Vozian abruptly resigned today, citing excessive bureaucracy and limited decision-making authority as key factors.
"Ninety percent of my time as Administrator is wasted complying with bureaucratic procedures utterly unsuited for a business, especially a strategic objective like our airport," Vozian stated on Facebook. He expressed hope the new leadership will "demonstrate the need for a different corporate management approach."
Vozian faced "continuous media attacks" throughout his tenure, he claimed. He highlighted 2023's challenges, including airline suspensions and operator bankruptcies, but emphasised market stabilisation and falling ticket prices.
Vozian, appointed Director just one year ago, pledged a smooth transition.
