Rezina: A 77-year-old man was rescued after he fell into a chasm

A 77-year-old man was rescued by the employees of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), after he fell into a chasm, at a depth of about 30 meters. The case was registered yesterday, February 7, in Lalova, Rezina district.

According to IGSU, the call from Service 112 was received at 12:47. The person had disappeared three days ago, and the neighbors alerted the law enforcement officers. Following the searches carried out by the law enforcement bodies, the man was found in a ditch near the village, in a conscious state.

"IGSU employees were able to pull the person to the surface in less than 30 minutes. The doctors gave him the necessary care on the spot, and later the man was transported to the district hospital", announced the quoted source.

The cause and circumstances of the case are yet to be determined.
