Over six thousand teachers will benefit from free digital skills courses

Around six thousand teachers will participate this year in free digital skills courses, announced the Minister of Education and Research, Dan Perciun. The official stated that at the end of the courses, the teachers will receive certification.

"We have successfully approved the digital skills standards and developed a training curriculum. At the end of the training, there will be a test, and those who pass will receive a certificate of competence, similar to the foreign language levels from A1 to C2.

We will announce the opportunity to participate in these courses starting in March. Currently, we are designing the curriculum, and we have already trained a group of 100 teachers in this process," said Perciun.

Last year, 1,200 teachers from both general and vocational education participated in continuing education courses. Upon completing these courses, teachers will be qualified to teach two subjects simultaneously, which addresses the shortage of teaching staff.
